I know several cyclists who have had bad accidents on Uxbridge Road - proper enforce-able bike lanes please!

Motorists very frequently disregard the ASL here and some try to jump the queue for the right turn out of Beaconsfield Road by turning right from the left lane, which is very dangerous to cyclists turning right from the correct lane. A … [more]

Hanger Lane roundabout is a nightmare for everybody. The signed routes for cyclists use underpasses and the tube station. Cyclists face steep slopes, tight turns, bad surfaces, inadequate width where shared with pedestrians, and poor … [more]

Very narrow or non-existent space left for bicycles Eastbound when both lanes of traffic come to a stop at the lights-especially buses forcing use of the pavement. I and other cyclists travelling east into Creffield Road and on to Acton … [more]

Uxbridge road is dreadful for cyclists. Although there is a cycling path for part of the way (which is an improvement to other places), this is completely ignored by people parking their cars and buses going in and out of the lane. The … [more]

Lovely underpass from Oldfield Lane North, pity cyclists then have to dash across Oldfield Lane South trying to miss the cars suddenly appearing round the corner and turning in there from the Greenford Roundabout via A40 slip. The hoops at … [more]

Junction of Whitton Avenue and Greenford Rd is busy with no protection for cyclists from the many cars turning left. There's also no easy option to access the recommended cycling route down Oldfield Lane North. Whitton Ave both East and … [more]

Ealing - High St Bond St junction - Cars drive up High St and don't look so they almost hit cyclists joining the roundabout from Mattock Lane

I am a female and I would NEVER use the underpass at the Greenford Roundabout even if I am cycling - it is too dangerous. A few years back there was a murder of black man under the bypass. When I cycle, I make my way on top with the rest … [more]

The worst junction for me when I cycle to work is the Greenford Road and Ruislip Road. I have to wait behind traffic/big vans for 3/4 light changes before I can cycle through. The second is across the Iron Bridge at the end of Greenford … [more]

If the green verges were a bit narrower on Whitton Avenue East and Whitton Avenue West, then the pavements could be shared-use with cycling. The junction with Greenford Road has been done-up recently, but there's no meaningful provision for … [more]

There are painted-only cycle lanes on Greenford Road but they disappear at the Junction with Ruislip Road/Greenford Broadway. The pavements are wide enough to make a pavement cycle lane, or shared-use, and then the traffic lights could have … [more]

The junction of Church Road/Uxbridge road is dangerous for all road users. There are often accidents involving cars turning on Church road coming on Uxbridge road from West Ealing because they need to cross through 2 lanes of traffic. From … [more]

There are 5 lanes on Horn lane. Only the left hand lane is for traffic going onto A40 Westbound and also into Park Royal Road. Traffic queues back so not all traffic can get into this lane so they use the adjacent lane and then cut across … [more]

Dangerous junction - two lanes of traffic (one turning left only) on a steep uphill. Difficult to continue straight on.

After negotiating two lanes of traffic (one turning left only) on a steep uphill, the Uxbridge Road then has a very narrow cycle lane which ought to be wider to be safe

North Circular needs a high quality segregated route for cycles all the way around - with trees separating the route from traffic where possible. Current surface can be upgraded where a route is already there - there many bumps, potholes … [more]

Popes Lane and Northfields Ave have room for a segregated cycle lane

We really need a Dutch cycle route along the Uxbridge Road. On a collision map of West London you can see where this road runs just from the locations of the numerous incidents. In 2010 motor vehicles collided with 34 cyclists in slight … [more]

Uxbridge Road needs a segregated cycle lane all the way along

Walpole and Lammas Park - room for a marked cycle lane

Mattock lane - room for a segregated cycle lane

Mountfield Road and/or Haven Lane are both one way for traffic but one or both could have a cycle lane in reverse direction

New Broadway/Springbridge Road/High Street junction needs a rethink to add cycle lanes (segregated), as does the Ealing Broadway/Mall junction (the Townhouse junction)

South Ealing Road, Bond Street and High Street are well used commuter routes into Ealing Broadway and have room for a segregated cycle route

Castlebar Road is a key commute route into Ealing Broadway and has room for a segregated cycle route

There are no cycle routes across Haven Green, it is much too car and bus dominated. the one way traffic system also means bikes have to traverse around the Green very indirectly, or use the footways - which conflicts with pedestrians. This … [more]

Ealing Broadway - this would be a great location for a GoDutch design. Something showing what can be done in a classic suburb - the 'Queen of the Suburbs'. There are many schools in the area with too many cars shuttling children too and fro … [more]

Iron Bridge - not exactly sorted. If nothing else there's a traffic signal stand in the cycle lane.

Crossing the North Circular is either dangerous or circuitous. More surface level crossings, or cycle-suitable bridges (with wide angles and low gradients) are needed to remove this barrier preventing further cycle uptake in London's … [more]

The Argyle Road is a major road between Greenford / Perivale and West Ealing / Ealing Broadway. Currently it is dominated by cars and buses, but it is broad enough that cycle paths could be incorporated. This would be a massively popular … [more]

Cycling around Ealing for the SkyRide was immensely pleasurable. I would love to cycle my children to school at Christ the Saviour (New Broadway and The Grove) but cannot see any safe route to do so. With Dusrton House, Notting Hill, St … [more]

I see quite a few accidents involving bikes on the Uxbridge road. The volume of commuters along this road from Shepherds Bush to/from Ealing is really high - there is no bike lane and so I have often cycled 2.5 miles out of my way to avoid … [more]

The tarmac quality is horrible on the Uxbridge road. around Ealing Broadway- West Ealing. Give us normal roads!

The High Street at Acton has been re-designed and it is dreadful for traffic. They've narrowed the lanes with the pavement jutting out into the road along with traffic islands in the centre of the road making it dangerous for cyclists

The Boston Road / Boston Manor Road - either you have a designated cycle lane or you have parked cars ! (Sudden opening of a car door is particularly dangerous to cyclists.)

I regularly cycle along the Uxbridge road and it is a nightmare. I have on many occasions asked for a separate cycle route. The pathetic green paint route has frequently got cars and lorries parked in it. Please may this go dutch!

uxbridge road. I live in Acton W3 and have to use the uxbridge road going west it is not good for those on a bike

Having cycled around Hanwell/Ealing for the past two years I have noticed how dominant cars and buses are on the roads. I have lost track of the number of times I have been centimetres away from being wiped out by vans and cars in this … [more]

How nice it would be to have a segregated cycle path following the uxbridge road, as it is already quite busy with commuters

The Uxbridge Road is awful! pedestrians seem intent on running out in front of me, with buses and some of the most idiotic driving i've ever seen in London, something needs to be done along the length of the road! The road and pavements are … [more]

Ealing is a lovey area that is used by all transport types. However making the area more friendly to cylists and pedestrians would improve the situation massively. Parks could be linked with a number of commuter routes from the west of … [more]

Ideally I would like to see the whole of the Uxbridge Road from Ealing into central London as a traffic free tram route with cycle lanes but at least there should be better provision for cyclists around Ealing Broadway and central Acton. … [more]

This part of Ealing Broadway is much neglected and the station is an eye-sore. Let's make Ealing beautiful again!

Ealing Broadway - Uxbridge Road is wide enough in most locations to have a segregated cycle route, as is the North Circular. Both are well used by cyclists but facilities are woeful - potholes, parked cars etc. Ealing Green/most of Ealing … [more]
