[Image created 11.3.23] Perryn Road, London. Context and links: #191923. I can see visually it is an attractive design. However, in use it is impractical: those steps that cross the 'rolling' route. Cyclists/scooters/mobility scooter … [more]

[Image created 11.3.23] Perryn Road, London. This looks a design that could work where gentle height gain is needed to replace an existing too steep route: #191338. And at a location where the railway severs a community from the hospital … [more]

Improve canal towpath for cyclists and walkers

Bridge closed, awaiting funds for maintainence. Fund this as it's a long way round..

Upgrade ramp & surface

Road not wide enough for two cars. Make road narrower. Add cycle lane. Widen path.

Cycle lane needed along edge of common.

Implement single car lane both east & west, with a proper segregated cycle lane in each direction. This would also allow for wider pavements. Currently there’s an unusable westbound lane (too narrow) and an unusable Eastbound bus lane … [more]

Cycle lane comes to abrupt end. Needs to be extended to junction ahead, or change the pavement in to the cycle lane and move the pavement to the other side of the tree line through the common.

Cycle lane comes to abrupt end, often in to parked cars. Cycle lane needs to be extended through the junction by removing the left turn lane.

Could do with a cycle lane and some speed restrictions for cars as they often race way above the 20mph limit

Put a drop kerb in on Kensington Road to access the canal tow path easier.

Add a proper dropped kerb here. The A40 cycleway just ends at the bus stop.

Cycle way needed here

Drop kerb needed on southbound cycleway to facilitate access to canal tow path

Northfields Avenue would benefit from a dedicated Cycleway, as it is currently unsafe.

Install cycle friendly access, drop kerb etc

Install drop kerbs for cyclists to easily cross the road

There is a cycle path here but the surface is in disrepair with ruts which are dangerous at night. Needs to be surfaced to a higher standard.

Both leaving and entering the park by bike are awkward due to the design of the crossing. Should be upgraded so that the park path accessed the roundabout directly

[This proposal has now been implemented] This road has been made temporarily one way, but the alternative, argyle road, is not attractive for cycling. A short cycling contraflow, from Drayton Road to argyle road would be a good solution … [more]

Uphill section with corners. Cars often pass bikes closely. Would benefit from a protected cycle lane. Space could be taken from the chevrons in centre of the road.

Better junction layout for cyclist to turn into Carr Rd or Castle Rd in safety from A312

From Eastcote Lane all the way to the A312 in both directions better cycling infrastructure is needed.

A cycleway along Bilton Road, or clear marking of the already wide pavements as shared use path, would help the many, many adjacent residents travel to the local shops, as well as access Perivale tube station and the Grand Union canal … [more]

Cycles coming down Horsenden Lane North on the segregated shared use path, and those exiting the Grand Union canal towpath are funnelled onto a very narrow pavement. Traffic crossing the single lane Ballot Box bridge is controlled by … [more]

Horsenden Lane South already has a painted cycle lane, but it is interrupted by car parking, and so fails to offer the safe segregation needed to encourage new cyclists.

No cycle parking

Dangerous coexistence of bikes and heavy traffic. Create off-road cycleway using the wide pavement / on-pavement parking spaces between Willesden Jct turning and the roundabout outside The Collective.

There is room for a two way cyclepath on the right hand southbound side of the road here, which would aid cyclists in the area heading towards Ealing Broadway or Greenford area.

Cyclists exiting the park wishing to turn right have to enter a busy road. A pedestrian / cycle crossing would help access and exit for northbound cyclists.

cycle access to the park is difficult for people turning right as the road is quite busy. A pedestrian / cycle crossing would help.
